There is a lot of information circling about the the COVID-19 vaccines, which can lead to more questions than answers. TYPROS and OU Health Physicians want to make sure young professionals get clear and accurate information about the types of COVID-19 vaccines available, the benefits and potential side effects, and answer any questions YOU may have about the vaccination process and its benefit to our community.

Panelists:

James Brigance, MD

Dr. Brigance grew up in Poteau, OK. He completed his undergraduate studies at Oklahoma City University with bachelors in Cell and Molecular Biology. Brigance completed his medical doctorate at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine and is now Chief Resident in the Department of Family Medicine at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine. He plans to return to southeast Oklahoma and work with Indian Health Service after graduation this June. He and his wife, Anna, have two sons, Hank and Graham.

Raye Reeder, MD, MPH

Dr. Reeder grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She graduated from the University of Tulsa with a bachelors in biology in 2014, and completed a dual MD-MPH program at the OU-TU School of Community Medicine. She is currently a second year resident at the OU Department of Family and Community Medicine. Her professional interests include health equity, public health, and reproductive health. She plans on staying in Tulsa and working in academic medicine or at a federally qualified health center following completion of residency, and when she’s not working, she is spending time with her fiancé Ben and their dog Pepper.
