Addressing climate change has become an important political issue in recent months and years, and will likely continue to be in the coming election year.
Join fellow TYPROS and local leaders for friendly, bipartisan, small-group discussions about a variety of local, state and federal policies that impact our environment and progress toward sustainability and health goals (especially those mentioned in the recent Tulsa Regional Chamber OneVoice Legislative Agenda, Democratic primary debate and U.N. Climate Summit).
This event is intended to be respectful and informal discussion among peers that weighs the pros and cons of different policies and strategies. The goal of this event is to become more informed and hear different perspectives on how we can make progress as a city, state and country.
Topics will include:
Water Conservation & Pollution
Infrastructure & Transportation
Public Land Use & Conservation
Energy
Carbon Emissions & Economy
Manufacturing & Waste Management
This event is jointly hosted by the TYPROS Government Relations & Sustainability Crews. It will be located in the Pocahontas Greadington Learning & Creativity Center. Parking garage is available for free for the first two hours .
